Every Copy Counts

I devised and am Director of Every Copy Counts for the Printed Music Licensing Limited organisation.

Every Copy Counts is the new data collection strategy for the Schools Printed Music Licence (SPML). The licence enables all schools in the UK to copy and arrange published music, in hard copy and digital format.

Every Copy Counts aims to increase the quantity and quality of data collected from UK schools, to work towards a fairer distribution programme for publishers, composers and songwriters. In return it offers schools a range of resources, guidance and support for understanding composing, songwriting, copyright and the music publishing industry.

Sound Connections

I have worked with the sector support organisation Sound Connections for a number of years as a consultant delivering evaluation and organisational change projects, as Associate Workforce Development Programme Manager. Many of the clients listed below are through Sound Connections.

I have planned, facilitated and delivered more than 30 training courses, three national conferences, run an apprentice programme and a small grants programme, and overseen a number of networks and partnership projects.

All of the work focusses on developing inclusive practice among the music education workforce, particularly those who are working with children and young people in challenging circumstances.
